Jason Whitehead – Board Member

Rev. Whitehead serves on the national advisory board for NAMI FaithNet as well as the boards of Presbyterian Mental Health and Juniper Formation. As a faith leader and a licensed clinical social worker, Dr. Whitehead leads a part-time therapuetic practice and a small faith community. He has a focus on co-creating community and understanding at the intersections of spirituality and mental health.

Inspired by his family members living with mental illness, Rev. Whitehead aims to build connections between places of community and those who find themselves stigmatized and isolated.  The goal of bringing all together gives him the energy and desire to work with NAMI to continue to shape the ways people all move through this world together.  He is a firm believer in a few things: relationships matter, words create worlds, and experimentation builds habits and skills. He completed a Master’s Degrees in Social Work and Divinity, a Ph.D. in Religion and Psychology from Iliff School of Theology and University of Denver; and is an Associate Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation. Jason has been married for 25 years and has two children .
