Edward Goldson, M.D. – Member at Large

Edward Goldson M.D.Dr. Goldson is a retired Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Colorado Medical School. He was based at the Children’s Hospital Colorado and worked in the Child Development Unit, which is a developmental diagnostic and teaching center. He was also one of the physicians in the Special Care Clinic which provides primary care to children with complex medical disorders. Dr. Goldson was the coordinator of the child development rotation for the pediatric residents and was also involved in the training of social workers addressing child maltreatment. His career interests have included children with developmental disabilities, child maltreatment, newborn follow-up, the fragile X syndrome and autism. He has authored and edited more than 100 articles, chapters and books and has been an invited lecturer in the United States, Latin-America and Europe. Dr. Goldson has served on the board of the Arapahoe Philharmonic Orchestra. (He is a violinist.) He also has served on the board of the Sensory Processing Disorder Society. Dr. Goldson is currently a board member of El Grupo Vida a support group for Spanish speaking families with children with developmental challenges.
