Do I need to fundraise?
There are no requirements to fundraise. We want everyone to participate in any way they can. But we do encourage all walkers to set a goal of at least $100.
What do I get if I raise $100?
All walkers who raise $100 or more receive the official NAMIWalks t-shirt.
How do I get started with fundraising?
There are lots of tips on the NAMI Colorado website.
Go to www.namicolorado.org/walk/walkerresources
Some of my donors don’t want to donate online. What do I do with checks and cash?
You can mail offline donations to the NAMI Colorado office, 2280 S. Albion St, Denver, 80222.
Please include a note that indicates the walker or team that the money should be credited to.
Or you can turn in your cash and checks on Walk Day at the check-in table.
What if someone wants to donate after the Walk?
People can still donate online 60 days after the Walk. Offline donations can be mailed to the NAMI office.
What is the money used for?
Funds from NAMIWalks are used for our education classes like Family-to-Family or our support groups which are offered at no cost to the participant. The funds also allow NAMI Colorado to advocate the interests of those affected by mental illness.
I can’t make it to the Walk. Can I still participate?
Sure! You can be a virtual walker. Just register, fundraise, and tell your donors you’re walking in spirit!
